DUnix v4.0 and Colorado TR-4?

Subject mostly says it all. I needed a backup, so I installed a
Colorado TR-4 SCSI drive. I rebuilt the kernel, and the system
recognizes the drive as TZ3. I did a MAKEDEV tz3 in /dev, and it
made the rmt2a,rmt2l,rmt2m and rmt2h, and the nrmt versions. But,
if I try to run

mt -f /dev/rmt2m(a,l,h) status

I get:

I/O Error.

The machine is an Aspen systems Durango II, w/256MB RAM, 3x 2.1 Gig HDD,
Dunix 4.0d.

Has anyone used one of these drives with Digital UNIX? Can they be used?

Thanks,
Erik
