Thanks to all who replied. It turns out that the /usr/shlib/libsys5.so file
is from a OSF/1 3.0 system. This system wasn't upgraded from 3.0, rather a
complete re-install was done. I don't know how/why that happened. I will
(hopefully) fix that very soon.
