SUMMARY: NSR host

Thanks for the quick responses from,

Dixon Hudson,
Chris H. Ruhnke,
Steve Butcher and
Florus Both

who all correctly pointed out that I just needed to add a line to my
/etc/hosts file pointing to the nsr server with an alias of 'nsrhost',
e.g. 150.123.200.15 nsr_server_hostname nsrhost.

The thing that confused me is that I originally thought it might be this
but, as none of the /etc/hosts files of any of our other machines has
got 'nsrhost' defined, (and they all still find the server without
problem), I discounted this (guess I should have at least had a play
first!!). I'm guessing this is where the RPC error I mentioned comes in.
Presumably if an 'nsrhost' alias isn't defined, NSR goes off and tries
to find the host server itself, only it couldn't do so because I haven't
set up something else correctly. The rpc.lockd and rpc.statd daemons are
both running. Has anyone got any ideas what NSR recover does if
'nsrhost' isn't defined?

Again, thanks to the guys above for helping out.

Cheers,
  Sean
