Acroread 3 alphaosf error

Has anyone successfully installed acroread 3.0 (the free one) from Adobe onto a
DUNIX 4.0d system? We are receiving the following error, and are wondering
what is missing.

Error: widget class XacroView has invalid CompositeClassExtension record
