The original question:
> How does one setup an nis (yp) user to have permission to su to root.
> Entering their name in the /etc/group file in 'system' does not seem to
> work, even though that is the method for local users.
I received responses from:
"Sean O'Connell" <sean_at_stat.Duke.EDU>
"Warren, John H." <JHWARREN_at_ESCOCORP.com>
Larry Griffith <larry_at_nermal.wsc.mass.edu>
"Stephane E. Fernandez" <enzo_at_cyberstation.fr>
lamullikin_at_west.raytheon.com
Trevor Stott <trevor.stott_at_sheridanc.on.ca>
A couple of these actually addresed the question with useful sugestions.
However none of them had the solution. On my own I discovered that the
parameter "-ypsetme" needed to be set in rc.config.
Thanks to all.
