Hi DU Admins
I'm getting ready to install BIND 4.9.7 to protect against
the BIND crash problem. The 'make install' wants to install
a whole lot of stuff, man pages, a new version of
libresolv.a and a new library lib44bsd.a, new versions of
some include files and some additional include files.
All I want is a version of the daemon that is immune to
the problem. So if I just replace Dec's named with the
new one, stop and then restart named will that work?
There's no shared libraries in the installation so I can't
see why that won't work but I thought I'd check first.
Thanks for any advice.
Ian
