Well..... The original post was correct. I just did not interpret it
correctly.

In the post from Lawrence Decker, the hostname "nagus" appears not to
be the name of the UNIX
host on which you are making the security changes. It does appear that
this name is the name of
the PC or other host you want to allow into this UNIX host.

If you use the procedures from the original post, and replace "nagus"
with the name of the machine
you want to allow in, you can then Exceed into the UNIX host.

Sorry for the confusion.
