lsm or advfs ?

Hi managers,

We are going to install our new 4100 box under DU 4.0D (two 9 Go disks),
and THE question comes to us : LSM or ADVFS ?

We used to configure our others alpha boxes storage with ADVFS, but we
have to first partition the disk(s) and then affect partition(s) to domain
(to say short). It's better than simple UFS, but not so easy when
extending domains (we extend with one partition if a free one
exists, but : no free partition, no extension).

With LSM, the idea would be : define a pool a physical storage, define
volume on this pool and UFS on this volume.
So it would be simple to increase UFS with the appropriate amount.
Is it a good interpretation of LSM ?
Or is it a bad one of ADVFS ?

So, what is the "good" solution ?
All suggestions are welcomed.

and .... happy new year !

Chris
