In pre-version 4.0D of DEC UNIX, I had a nice C program which did a number
of "root" things , one of these was mount a CD rom. Now under version
4.0D, it gives the error "Can't load CDFS module".
I checked that a user could "see" the CDFS module from the disk, so I am
stumped. If root runs this C code (which is SUID as root) it runs okay.
What has changed since 4.0B and how can I get my code to work again?
Or simply, do most of you use SUDO for allowing mortal users to mount CD's?
Thanks so much!
