Hello digital unix world!
Any one know of a way to get vdump to echo it's status messages to both the
screen (stdout) and to a file?
It is the messages like below that I would like to log to a file and the
screen.
| path : /usr
| dev/fset : /dev/rz0g
| type : ufs
| vdump: Date of last level 0 dump: the start of the epoch
| vdump: Dumping directories
| vdump: Dumping 826874448 bytes, 1312 directories, 24053 files
| vdump: Dumping regular files
|
| vdump: Status at Fri Jan 8 10:54:50 1999
| vdump: Dumped 269363482 of 826874448 bytes; 32.6% completed
| vdump: Dumped 234 of 1312 directories; 17.8% completed
| vdump: Dumped 2578 of 24053 files; 10.7% completed
Thank you for your time.
