Hi DU Admins
I've been burning some CDs on an NT box. These are all readable
on my PWS 500au except for one data set. I burnt it twice to make
sure it wasn't a bad CD.
I get this error when I try to mount it:
/dev/rz0c on /cdrom: No such device or address
If I eject the disk then insert it and try again I get this:
/dev/rz0c on /cdrom: I/O error
The peculiar thing is that I can read both CDs on a PC or a Mac
or on a 3000-M400 running DU 4.0B but not on any of our PWS's
running DU 4.0C or on an AlphaStation 200 4/233 running DU 4.0B.
I verified the check sums on the 3000-M400 and both CDs are
perfect copies of the original data.
The 3000-M400 has the same version of Digital Unix at the same
patch level as the 200 4/233 so it doesn't look like a software
problem.
The only obvious difference is the size. The two that don't mount
are about 580 MB whereas the others are all less than 550 MB.
Anyone got any ideas about this?
Thanks
Ian
