Hello managers!
I have an AlphaSever400 4/166 and upgraded recently from Digital Unix 3.2C
to Digital Unix 4.0D. Last Friday I was working with the new dxaccounts in
graphical form, creating and modifying when sudenly the energy went off.
And as the machine still doesn't have UPS it might have caused problems.
Now when I click on the icon of Account Manager pops up a window with the
following message:
"/usr/bin/X11/dxaccounts can be run as root (privileged), providing
additional features."
Then I click to run as a root. One thing to mention is that I am logged as
a root already. Nothing happens.
If I use dxaccounts in the terminal the comes this message:
"The password and group files are currently locked by another user. Please
try again later."
It looks like the application is running somewhere. I tried to kill some
applications and rebooted many times but it still didn't solve.
I will appreciate any help. Thanks for the time.
