I received only one response on this one which was from Georg Tasman, and he
put me in the right direction. Here is an excerpt from the message he sent
to me:
"check the scripts /var/ase/lib/ni_status_awk; path_status_awk
these scripts check the networkinterfaces and are called from ase_logcrit_sh
(the error logging script)"
