Common Lisp for DU

Hello,

we need a Common Lisp interpreter for running a scientific program.

Has anyone succeeded in compiling successfully any of the free
implementations, like Gnu Common Lisp (gcl) or Kyoto Common Lisp (kcl, akcl),
on a DU machine?
What about commercial Common Lisp implementations?
Are there any for DU 4.0D? Experiences?

We tried already two implementations, but failed to compile them
successfully. In the list archives we found only pointers to LISP
distributions, but no reports about successful ports to DU.

Thanks for any hints,
