[Q]: gcc and g++

Dear gurus,

- running a 2100 4/275 under DU 4.0B

- some time ago, I have installed gcc and g++ and, as far as I remember,
  I had no problem.

- all of a sudden, the g++ compiler does not work and says
"gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1plus': No such file or
   directory"

- the only thing that I can think of is that I have installed last
week the GNU *ADA* compiler (!!!). During the installation
process, I noticed many "mv", "ln", "rm" dealing with gcc or g++
  files ...

- Anyway, I tried to re-compile and re-install gcc and g++ with the
very same Makefile that I used before.

- the installation of gcc fails because "protoize.o" cannot be
  found

- the installation of g++ fails with the same message as above.
Curiously the file "cc1plus" does exist in
  usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-dec-osf4.0/2.7.2.2/cc1plus

I'm sure that you know where is the problem ....

Cheers,

Jean-Loup
