Hi again,

I have had a set of very fast responses from several people. Yes I do know
that underscore is not allowed as per RFC1034(RFC1035). The problem as
described a couple of weeks ago by John Speno (thanks John for your input to
this) is that Digital's version of BIND has not enforced the rules. I have
inherited a large network, where many others have used this "feature" and
given names to interfaces that include underscores. I am certain that I am
not the only one to have this problem and therefore I sent out the warning.
