having problems pulling up and xwindows display (dxnetworker, in this case)
on a machine of mine. the graphics adapter that the networker server is
running on, node olympus, has been pulled. I want to run dxnetworker on
olympus but display it on node cado. i export the DISPLAY environment
variable on olympus set to cado:0, but it comes back saying that i'm not
authorized to do this. I know about xauth, and I've tried coming up with
the right incantation for that with no luck. something tells me it's much
simplier, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be
appreciated.
