Hello Managers!
We recently bought a DAT Autolader HP C5648A with the explicit statement
of HP that the autoloader capabilities can be accessed thru command-line
via their utility mtx for Digital UNIX 4.0B (downloadable from their
ftp-page). Well, that was two weeks ago! I have not been able to get
their software to work here. Each time I try to execute it - it gives me
a 'Memory fault - core dumped'
The software is dated 1995 and is said to work for DEC OSF/1 so I doubt
this will work on our OS. Can you confirm that?
The hardware is correctly configured I beleive, I have set up the
ddr_dbase and dumping to tape works actually, but only as a single-tape!
Before I send back the whole thing I wanted to see if anybody out there
managed to get the autoloader capabilities of this HP thing to work and
if yes, how!!? Is there other software lying around out there which
works with DU4.0B ?
