Dear Gurus,

My problem: all of a sudden, the g++ compiler (cc1plus) had disappeared.

I suspected that this was the result of the installation of gnat (the
GNU ADA compiler)

M-C. Vialatte confirmed that her gcc++ configuration had been screwed up
after having installed gnat.

Following Brian O'Neill's advice, I deleted everything under
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib, then downloaded the latest release of gcc++ and
installed the stuff (I just scrupulously followed the INSTALL
instructions and had no problem).

Conclusion: read the man twice and think thrice before installing gnat!!

My thanks to: Brian O'Neill, Arrigo Triulzi, M-C. Vialatte, Oisin
McGuiness, David B. Ritch and Sean O'Connell.
