[Q] netstat command fails with 'no namelist' error

Folks-

I have an alpha running DU 4.0D on which the 'netstat' command has
suddenly started to fail:

% netstat -a
no namelist

I can't find any changes in the system that would account for this
problem. Does anyone know what might have caused this and how to
fix the problem?
