8200's old 10baseT and Cisco 10/100 switch problems

Dear all,

I would very much like to run my 8200's dual 10baseT ports at least in
Full-Duplex mode with my Cisco 2496XL but I am failing miserably. I
know that I should get a PCI backplane and put a 100BaseT on it... I
am working on it but in the meantime I need to stick with what I have.

After having configured bothe ewa0 and ewb0 to "Full Duplex, Twisted
Pair" I still only get Simplex operation as show by both ifconfig -a
and Cisco's own diagnostics.

The 8200 in question is happily running DU 4.0D. The Cisco is in
"Auto" both for wire speed & simplex/duplex operation. Forcing the
latter makes the 8200 unreachable.

Any suggestions welcome,

Arrigo
