Hi everybody,
We bought a new disk for our alpha server running V.3.2C on it.
We wanted to move all inboxes to this new disk since it is larger, but we
are having strange problems.(sendmail 8.9.1)
What I did :
firstly, I mounted new disk as /var/spool/mail and mount older one as
something different, and copy all files to new mail spool by
cp -p (preserving all rights etc.)
since I had problems in this case, secondly , I backed up inboxes to a
tape then, restored to new spool.
The same problems continued.
Here is the error message when opening pine:
[Mailbox vulnerable - error creating
/usr/spool/mail/mirat.lock.917894503.1254.bornova.ege.edu.tr: Permission]
Here, "mirat" is my username and I receive the same message for every user
with their usernames.
My fstab file entry is :
root2_domain#mail /var/spool/mail advfs rq,userquota 0 0
#mail_domain#mail /var/spool/mail advfs rq,userquota 0 0
If I mount mail_domain#mail (the new one) instead of the first one , I
receive these errors. If I return to this configuration , the problem
arouses.
We have nfs installed but reexecuted nfssetup for trying,but no change.
MAILLOCKING is already 5 but I checked once again.
