ASE + NIS = problem

Dear Managers,

we are running an ASE Cluster with

Hardware: 2 AS1000A connected to a RA310 via KZPSA-BB
Software: DU4.0D + patchkit #2, TCR 1.5 + patchkit from August, 11 1998

Host C is NIS-master and ASE logging host.

Host H can't start any NIS-service if the asemember daemons are running.
Booting H without starting the asemember-script results in a working
NIS environment.

There seemed to be a portmapper problem: in some situations the
ypbind complains a missing portmapper even it is running.

Any hints are appreciated.

TIA
Gerhard
