Hi All,

I was wondering whether anyone could help me out with a pin-out problem I
have. I just purchased a Rocketport Multi-port serial card and am planning
to consolidate all our old terminal consoles on our Alphas down to this
one console server.

The problem I'm having is finding the correct pinout for the cables. The 2
interfaces on our machines are the DEC MMJ connector and a regular DB-9
connector. The Rocketport is RJ-45 connectors. I have the following info
about each connector:

RJ45 MMJ DB-9
1 RTS 1 DTR 1 DCD
2 DTR 2 TxD 2 RxD
3 GND 3 GND 3 TxD
4 TxD 4 RxD 4 DTR
5 RxD 5 Receive Return 5 GND
6 DCD 6 DSR 6 DSR
7 DSR 7 RTS
8 CTS 8 CTS
                                        9 Ring Indicator

So I need to go RJ-45 to MMJ, and RJ-45 to DB-9 but I just don't know
which signals to connect up to each other.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Ian.
