Hi friends,

Thank you all for the response. Even though I had taken care
of /etc/hosts.lpd, .rhosts and hosts.equiv, it did not work.
Finally the reason I found is the following.

We have the NIS setup. The /etc/svc.conf has the hosts entry
which should have been hosts=local,yp,bind. Mine had the
hosts=local, bind,yp and everytime I rlogin to hermis from other
machines, it used to ask for the passwd. Once hosts was set to
local,yp,bind, I could rlogin with out being asked for the passwd.
After that I could print from anywhere in our network. The lesson
I learnt is that svc.conf is a very important file in my set up and I
have to look at first.
