another "NFS stale file handle" question

Hello managers,

obviously my understanding of those "NFS stale file handle" messages
is incomplete.

For several days now i see at the console of my nfs-server these
messages (once per 10 seconds...)

NFS server: stale file handle fs(3098,1026775) file 17622 gen 32769,
   RFS3_READ, client=..., errno 22

I thought that i easily could identify the "problem-filesystem" via
the "3098" as a minor(?) device number in /dev, but that failed.
There is no "3098" neither on the nfs-server nor on the nfs-client.

How can i identify where my problem is?

TIA,

Bernt Christandl
