Thread support for Digital Unix 4.0D

Greetings,

I am trying to compile an application that requires threads on Digital
Unix 4.0D

However, we cannot seem to get thread support working - not found in the
autoconfiguration stage of building the product.

I have checked 'setld -i' and we have installed almost every subset on the
machine. I was wondering if someone could assist me in getting the
thread support stuff going.
