        Hello

We have been using the 'Diskless management system' (DMS) on Ultrix and
Digital unix for quite some time and it has helped us managing
approximately 30 workstations with regard to 1) installation
of the operating system and layered products and 2) management
        of the running systems.

It appears that DMS is not actively supported by Compaq any longer.
It lacks certain functionality, e g installation of patches etc
and has not reached the level of functionality of the Ultrix implementation.

        My question:

How do you manage less than 50 Tru64 workstations with regard
        to
        1) installation of the operating system and layered products
Are you using 'cloning' and unattended install ?

        2) management of the running systems

        Sincerely
