I am currently running DUNIX 4.0B, with new 10K 9.1GB drives in 0+1 off a
HSZ70. I use LSM to stripe the 0+1 stripesets and have seen a great
reduction (from previous HSZ40/2member RAID 0, LSM to mirror) in read and
write times. I am curious what kind of read and write times others are
having (I know there are tons of variables). If you run LSM, I'd like to
see any volstat's and a note with what type of config you run (HW mirror,
stripe, SW mirror/stripe).
I will summarize my findings for those who are not sure if "things could be
better", as far as IO is concerned. We run Oracle, so if you respond,
please let me know if you run a database, too.
Thanks
