Hi,

I asked whether the following error message

vmunix: Defering I/O (errno 5) for block(0x76860, ox76860) on device
8,1026

that appeared in /var/adm/messages was a hardware error and
how I could check what disk was causing the error.

To find out which disk corresponds to device 8,1026 just do

ls -l /dev | grep 8 | grep 1026

Since these error messages point to a hardware error I will let the
owner of the machine contact Digital...
