NFS Service problem in ASE

Hello Managers

I have set up an NFS service in an ASE, nfsserv and a directory to be shared
from this service, nfsdir.

I am able to relocate this service between nodes in the ASE.

The problem is trying to mount this NFS service on a client system on the
network.
I use
#mount nfsserv:/nfsdir /mnt

and get the error message

Can't share nfsserv:/nfsdir
NFS port map : RPC : Program not registered

Am I missing something very basic, I've been through the ASE docs. I am able
to mount a normal NFS exported file system.
