Dear Managers;
We are from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ( PHIVOLCS ). We have an Alpha Station 250 4/266 running on Digital Unix 3.2D.
Our problem is that the 2.5 gigabyte hard disk ( RZ28 ) in our present system is already full. We inquired from our local Digital distributor for an additional drive. Unfortunately the price is very exspensive and our division is on a very tight budget.
We found out ( to our surprise) that the hard disk on our system is a Seagate Baracuda ST32550N and marked RZ28 with a Digital sticker. We thought that if we bought the Seagate drives without the Digital sticker we would be able to save more than half the price. So we asked our distributor for a list of the Seagate equivalent model number of the hard disks which are compatible with our system. We were shocked when they refused.
Do you know the model numbers of the NARROW SCSI SEAGATE BARACUDA hard disks ( 4 to 9 gigabyte capacity ) that are compatible with the Alpha Station 250 4/266 workstation.
We would appreciate any help/ suggestions you can give us.
