Radical (sorta) question.

We were tossing around the idea today of pulling the disks from an old
A1000 box and installing them into a 1200. How hard would it be to
install disks from another box into a new one? I am talking about pulling
the system disks out, swap, /usr, storageworks containers, the whole 9.
And then dropping them into a 1200. I am sure I would have to boot them
back on the 1200 with the generic kernel, but is there any other reason
this would not work?

Ideas?
