Thanks a lot to the following persons who give me their opinion:

someone discouraging me and someone giving me various type of solutions,
from Ris to 4.0e cloning, through a save of selected files and restore
after the upgrade.
I think i'll analyze the suggestion of 4.0e cloning.
My original question was:
I'm new to DigitalUnix, but as we usually do in OpenVMS, I'd like to
know if there is a way to upgrade the operating system making backup
copies of the system disks and restoring them in other machines, because
we have a lot of system to upgrade.
In OpenVMs there are some SCS sysgen parameters, decnet address and node
name, license database, ucx database and so on that you must modify.
But in DU can I do something like that, and if so, what?
Many thanks in advance...
