SUMMARY: Menu at login

My question was:
"I want my users to get a menu when they login.
The menu will be written as a script.
There will only be a few options and i DO NOT want them to be able to
get a prompt.
The menu will be executed from .login
What shell do i write the script in and how do i catch kill signals
etc."

Thanks everyone that helped oput, there were to many replays to mention
them here.

The best solution for me was to make a Perl script that is executed as
the users enviroment in /etc/passwd.
That way they can't get a prompt, they will only be thrown of the system
and that's ok.
