Hello Managers,

Before upgrading to 4.0e, I've decided to update the firmware to version 5.
3 on an AS1000A 5/333.

I boot the CD on DKA400 with flags 0,0 and the default and correct firmware
is proposed. I accept it and during the reboot there is some kind of crash
with registers displayed on the screen, but I got the update Menu.

I issue the update comman and was aked about srm and arc and answer yes.
ARC is updated to version 5.66 but after that there is a message about srm_fw
file not found.

After that, I took the ECU diskette V1.11A for use in configuration of
systems to be used with OpenVMS and Digital Unix and tried a boot DVA0.
It seems that there is no valid boot block but perhars a RUN ECU command
will be OK.

The update to 4.0E is almost finished but it's the first time that I've
such troubles with firmware updates.

Daniel

PS the default window manager xdm has been replaced by cde...
