Re-partitioning a ufs disk

Need to allocate some more swap under 4.0d using a disk that has a ufs
filesystem on it and in use.

I have 2Gb available (as reported by df), although I will back-up what
is on the disk and copy it back after the repartition, is it possible to
repartition this disk without corrupting any existing data. How do I
check the last cylinder used in the ufs filesystem to ensure that I
won't (tried dumpfs but had trouble interpreting the output). Is this
possible?

Also, man page for swapon in 3.2c states that swapping to a regular file
is not supported. Thought it might have been by 4.0d but alas no, this
would have saved me a lot of hassle in this instance. Anybody now if it
will be supported in a future release? (Is it practical anyway?)

Thanks

Cy
