Subject: CPU-type determination
Does anyone know how to determine the cpu EV of a machine?
i.e. EV4, EV5, EV5/6 etc. uname, machine and sizer only
tell me its an alpha. Somehow, the compilers can determine
the EV, which they do when you include the '-arch host'
switch at compile time. How do they do it?
TIA,
TErry.
