KZPAA replacement

I need to add a basic narrow SCSI controller to a Personal Workstation
500au (new model; no external SCSI). In the past to keep things simple
I've bought the KZPAA-AA from Digital. Apparently this is no longer
orderable as of last week, though can still be obtained at a price from
spares (refurbished).

The KZPAA is visibly a completely standard third-party controller
(Symbios?), without even any Digital marking on it - it could be
identical to the OEM product for all I know. Can anyone suggest or
remind me what a compatible replacement might be, and if it works
completely transparently in a PWS with DEC UNIX 4.0D?

One summary in the archives reported success with an ASUS SC-200
controller but the identical OEM product to the KZPAA might make me more
comfortable. I know the 810 SCSI controller on these cards is horrible
but it's only for a tape drive.

Thanks,
