Thanks to Larry Clegg, Paul Bailie and Brian Parkhurst for their input.
It was suggested that as dupatch didnt run we should try the full path, as
root, and retrieve another copy of the distribution and/or try another
installed dupatch.
We tried all these suggestions without success. We then took the
distribution as had been untarred on the 2100 and copied it to a 3800 4.0B
machine. The patch and dupatch then worked without any problem whatsoever
proving that the distribution was fine.
As the 2100 is part of a 2 x 2100 cluster with ase we thought this might
affect dupatch, so we stopped ase with /sbin/asemember stop on both of the
2100's without any difference.
This is where we are. dupatch still errors as before so we wonder if
something in the setup or config is preventing patch installation. Is
this possible???
