VT100 terminal emulator

Hi, managers.

I want to control a device that is connected to, say, /dev/tty0a.
The device requires that control is made by means of a vt100
terminal.

Is it possible to run an Xterm against /dev/tty0a instead of a
pseudo-tty (/dev/ttyp7 or whatever). Or do anybody know another
vt100 terminal emulator fir Tru64Unix?
