Printserver version incompatibility

Hi,

We have a DEC Printserver 17. When it works...it
works great....but everytime we have to reboot
the thing...it usually takes some effort to get it
up and going.

The other day we had a hardware failure error
message and it required a reboot to clear the
failure. The printer has been down for several
days. We have been working with Compaq support
to try to find an answer why it doesn't boot
up. The following is the segment from the
management client log. We simply cannot figure out
why we constantly get the LPS Version
incompatibility error. We have LPSBASE510 PrintServer
Software for OSF/1 AXP loaded on the boot server
right now. We have tried version 5.2 with the same
type of error reported.

lpsrc reports the following:
