Unsupported device during Firmware Update.

While I'm waiting for Digital/Compaq Support to call me back.....

I just tried to install Firmware Update V5.0 on a Digital SN-3AAA-P2 Personal Workstation (Alpha).
It detects/selects the appropriate executable to be run for the install and I run it.
I then get the error that there is an unsupported device in slot 4. I get out the manual
that came with the workstation and find that my video card is in slot 4.
I pull the video card and it's a Digital SN-PBXGK-AA. Digital. It's Digital.
What do you mean unsupported? Any way, I thought maybe someone else out there
has had this problem before. Also... someone please refresh my memory -
What would I need the ECU diskette V1.11A for? What does it have that I would need?
Why isn't that info on the FW CD? My intention is to install DU 4.0D (I know, but it wasn't
Tru64 when it came out.) We never received the 4.0E update or 5.0 release automatically
from Compaq as it should. And now 4.0F is here. Oh well, I've got to have this server up
ASAP.
Any help would be appreciated.
