It is really necessary if you installed any kernel module patches, and most
patch kits do contain some of them.
Log in as root. Use doconfig to rebuild your normal target kernel using
your existing config file. If you don't know the name of the config file,
look in /sys/conf, it will usually be the same name as the hostname only
all upper case. See the doconfig reference page and the system admin guide
for more information.
