Hi Tru64 Admins
I'm adding a second disk (9.1GB) to some alpha systems for swap
and data storage.
>From the AdvFS point of view it would be better to have a single
AdvFS partition which means putting the swap partition at the end
of the disk or *near* the start.
>From the point of view of swap I assume it would be best to put the
swap partition in the middle of the disk with two AdvFS partitions
of about equal size either side.
Since these machines are used both for number crunching and as file
servers swap efficiency and file system efficiency are both important.
Any recommendations welcome.
Thanks
Ian
