We have a DEC 4100 running UNIX 4.0D and Informix 7.30.FC5.
We have 3 SWXCR (MYLEX DAC 960) controllers with 21 4GB drives on each
controller. We have 6 drives for each logical drive using RAID 5. Since
Informix has limit of 2GB dbspace size, we are using LSM to create 10 2GB
volumes on each logical drive.
We are planning to swap all the drives with 9GB drives.
How should I configure 9GB drives with a similar setup as described above?
What's the size limit for creating a RAID 5 logical drive?
What would be an optimum setup because of the 2GB limit by Informix?
