Firmware update problem

Hi all

I'm currently trying to perform a firmware and OS upgrade on an
Alphaserver 1000 4/233, taking the OS from 4.0B to 4.0D. I have the
firmware CDs versions 5.0 and 5.3. During boot, I get a lovely dump with
the error message

SYSFAULT CPU0 - pc=(blah blah blah)

and then what looks like a reboot. It continues, and when I type "list"
with either CD, it tells me that the SRM firmware update version on the CD
is "missing file". Telling the 5.3 CD to use the 5.2 revision no longer
says "missing file", but I still get the SYSFAULT CPU0 error message. Is
that normal (I hope not), and is it safe to continue afterwards, or should
I go home now and log a service call during working hours?

Cheers

Richard
