My original Question was:

My problem is
> that I need to know if my server is y2k compliant. I've
already checked

having trouble

I want to thank: Larry Clegg, Stanley Horwitz, John J. Francini, Simon
Millard and Arnaud.VERON for their an
swers.

Now here's the summary:

        - All 2100 are y2k compliant but the latest version of the
Firmware is needed.

        - Ensure that we are running the latest 4.0d patch (feb 99)

        - Check that the Ethernet card you are using is compliant -
DEC's web
page will have details, though you need to know the part number.

        - I am not sure what your managers prefer, but here, the only
statement
on Y2K readiness that my management access is a written statement from
the vendor. If your management is goi
ng to hold you accountable for the functionality of your system, I
encourage you to contact Compaq directly
and requdirectlyest a written statement regarding this issue.

                                                                Thanks

                                                                Gil
Renard
