Summary: Problems with sudo

Greetings and Thanks to everyone for the great replies.

I found I had two problems. I did not have the permissions set correctly on the
'sudo' image. They should be:

-rwsr-x--x 1 root system 71747 May 7 10:52 /usr/bin/sudo

and my sudoers file now looks like this:

sybase ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /usr/sbin/chdev, NOPASSWD:
/usr/samples/kernel/vmtune

(That's all on one line but it wrapped in email.)

If I don't have that second 'NOPASSWD:' entry then my second command still
requires a password whereas my first one does not.

Thanks again,

Larry

Greetings,

I'm trying to setup SUDO for the first time and I'm having some problems letting
the sudoers file setup correctly. I'm running DUNIX V4.0D with CU Sudo version
1.5.8.

I'm trying to grant a single user the rights to execute two commands on the
local node without having to type in any password. I've tried various
combinations of things in the sudoers file but I get either a syntax error and
rejected by 'visudo' or I get this: Sorry, sudo must be setuid root.

Can't figure out what's wrong. Any help or examples would be appreciated.
Thanx,
