Greetings,
For some reason sshd (secure shell daemon) won't start on reboot if I put
a link to it in /sbin/rc3.d like "S97ssh -> /usr/local/sbin/sshd" .
If I cd to rc3.d and type "./S97ssh" it does start.
I am getting two errors in the startup log. They go by so quick that I haven't
been able to write them down (they are not in any of the log files either).
The first is something like: /sbin/rc3.d/S97ssh ^a^A smp not found
the second is something like: /sbin/rc3.d/S97ssh '(' not expected
I tried putting a link to a script with a 60 second 'sleep' in rc3.d but
that didn't seem to slow down the startup at all.
Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.
Thanks,
rich frank
